Before I got pregnant I never would have worn leggings to work – my office is just not that type of place. But now I am looking for any opportunity to wear leggings to work and to do so in a way that is still office-appropriate.
Nick gave me these boots for Christmas and I’ve basically been living in them ever since. I’ll be honest – I really don’t feel like wearing heels lately – and I’m the girl who always wears heels. These boots are certainly dressy enough to wear to work, so I have been working on outfits that I can wear them with to the office. I may not necessarily wear this outfit when I have meetings scheduled with clients, but if I know I’m just hanging out at the office all day, with no client meetings, this outfit is perfectly appropriate. And the BEST part is – I stay SO comfortable the entire day.
This plaid shirt is incredibly soft and one of my new favorite items to wear – plus it’s on sale right now. I will probably wear this outfit at least once a week – just exchanging the plaid shirt for a long dressy button down or a linen tunic and then mixing up the blazers I wear.
These boots are on the expensive side – certainly an investment piece although I can say from experience that you’ll wear them a lot, they’re immediately comfortable and don’t need to be broken in. But I also linked to a very similar pair of boots that are much less expensive.

Thank you so much Maggie!! Hopefully the blazer dresses it up enough for work and then afterwards I can toss that blazer in the car!! XOXO – Em
