Spring should start in February. December and January is more than enough time for winter and by February everyone is sick of it and ready for vacation and warm weather. Furthermore, all of the spring apparel starts coming out sometime in February or early March and so my desire to start wearing clothes fitting of warmer temperatures overcomes my desire to have warm appendages.
I have an obsession with Madewell to begin with, but when i went in last week and saw that their spring line was out, I knew I was in trouble. So even if I can’t really wear some of the items that I purchased until it warms up a bit, now is the perfect time to start transitioning your wardrobe to spring. And the sweater/skirt/bootie combo is a great transition outfit for when the weather does start to warm up a little, because the sweater is crazy warm, (and you would not believe how soft it is), and my legs can stand the cold weather way better than my arms can. Below I have included links to everything I am wearing, and also to a number of the other spring items from Madewell that I am currently coveting.
I chose to pair this outfit with these gorgeous Geoffrey Scott pieces because the warm rich colors of the stone, the leather and the gold hardware help bring out some color in my cheeks and warm up the outfit – much like how I would like Ohio to warm up as well.
How do you transition your wardrobe to spring?
