This weekend I was fortunate enough to get together with all 5 of my best college girlfriends – back in Charlotte where we went to school together. It was so good for my heart and my soul to be with them again – and pick up just where we left off even though it had been a year since I had seen some of them. I just cannot explain in words just how blessed I am to have found these girls and to STILL be so close with them all these years after college. We have a running GroupMe and we talk to each other multiple times a week, (if not per day), and it has really been beneficial in keeping us close even though we are all so physically far apart.
One of my friends is the one who inspired me to get into blogging in the first place – and it was so fun to spend some good time with her as she taught me how to use my new camera!!! She and I walked around this gorgeous English-inspired garden as we messed around with the camera and caught up!
One of my favorite local shops, Vernacular, has started carrying the most darling clothes and it has been GREAT for my wardrobe and less great on my wallet but we will just deal with that at a later time… And they sell most of their clothes online HERE! This romper was what I wore on the 4th and it was perfectly festive without being over-the-top and is certainly something that I can wear later without it looking like an obvious Fourth of July outfit.
The wedges are from Forever 21 last fall but are sold out so I linked to a very similar pair that is on sale for $49!!
Hope you all had a safe and happy Fourth with your friends and families!!
