So this week on the blog I’m doing something a little different.  I’ve teamed up with my favorite local home goods store, Elm & Iron and photog-extrodinare Emma Parker to put together a week-long blog post and tons of awesome giveaways!

The idea of doing one post each day stemmed from seasonal depression – to be quite honest with you.  In Ohio this time of year it is cold and gray nearly every day.  So to combat this, I like to do what I call “little happies.”  These are little things that I do every day that I can look forward to – like reading a good book, cooking, meeting up with friends for a drink, getting a fancy coffee, etc.

Each day this week I will do a new blog post on what I look forward to doing that day. Additionally, each day Elm & Iron will be hosting a giveaway of one of the items in my post from that day.  Check out their Instagram account to check out what cool item they’re offering up that day!  One of the items in this post is up for grabs today!!

For today’s little happy:

On Mondays I work, I have class and then I try to run some errands, (and sneak in a little shopping), on the way home.  So when I finally get home ALL I want to do is curl up with some vino and a good book. If I’m feeling extra spicy, I might stop by Pistacia Vera and pick up my most favorite treat – an orange brioche.
