Like the blanket scarf, the blanket coat is the socially acceptable alternative to wearing your comforter out in public. I am all over this trend – anything that lets me get away with staying as comfy as possible without looking like a hobo drifter.

I had gone into a local clothing store here in Columbus, Thread, to pick out an outfit for an event they were throwing. This coat was a little much for their indoor event, but I carried the coat around the store rubbing it like a creep – I knew that was some kind of sign.

I loved this rag and bone skirt so much that I paired them together, along with some neutral pieces, but I think the coat would go perfectly paired with black leather leggings and some great black booties.
