Whether you’re getting dressed up and going out or having a low key dinner in with friends, we have two different looks that will be perfect for New Year’s Eve. My girl Candace Read of Live Love & Read and I teamed up to each put these together for you and to choose some other great dress options that are under $50!

But my favorite part of each of these looks is the HAIR! Candace and I both went to The Blowout Bar and got extensions (it was my first time ever getting them) – they showed us how to put them in, how to take care of them and how to style them too! We will be putting together some video tutorials on how to put them in and style them early next year, so stay tuned.

I also sometimes feel like there’s this stigma that New Year’s Eve has to be a huge party – this pressure that you have to have SO. MUCH. FUN. My idea of fun is a lot different than it used to be..like when I was in college.  Now, our tradition is that we always head to Cincinnati to spend time with our friends who live there – go out and get dressed up, eat an amazing dinner, drink a little too much, and UBER home basically right after the ball drops.  And I’m into it. I don’t feel the need to be standing in Times Square or on a roof top bar in LA – is that growing up?
