After the week I had last week, I needed a fun, stress-free weekend.  We went to a MLS game and saw the Columbus Crew play the LA Galaxy, we took the dog for walks and got iced coffees, we ate biscuits and jam in bed, we binged on Netflix, we let the laundry pile up, (although I am regretting that a little now), and went to a baseball game with some friends.

It was exactly the weekend that I needed to get my mind right.  Occasionally during the year I will do a detox or a cleanse – something to cleanse my body of the toxins that I have ingested and get my system back in order.  Sometimes you need to do that for your mind as well.  There were about a million things that I needed to do this weekend, (and if I owe you an email I am so so sorry), but I didn’t do any of them.  My to-do list sits the way I left it Friday afternoon.  I needed it so bad that I don’t mind playing catch up this week.

This outfit reflects my weekend laziness a little.  It was hot and sticky humid all weekend, so sleeves were not happening, but after the afternoon thunderstorms it would cool off a little and we would get dressed to go to dinner.  Rather than change the entire outfit, I swapped my jean shorts for these Madewell jeans and threw on some strappy heels – easy peasy, (especially because the shoes are strapped on to my ankles so I never have to worry about stepping out of them – for those with narrow feet I know you feel me).

I have a lot to look forward to and be thankful for this week, because we are taking the kids to Florida to visit their Grandparents for Fathers’ Day!!!  Cannot wait to celebrate all the sweet dads in our family!
